MINUTES OF SELECTMEN MEETING – March 19, 2012 5:00 PM

Vacum Tanker Bids:
The Town of Tolland Board of Selectmen and Fire Department are seeking bid proposals to furnish the town with a new NFPA 1901 Compliant (as required under the provisions of the Assistance to Firefighters Grant program) 3,000 gallon vacuum tanker.
Specifications and information can be obtained from Tolland Board of Selectmen at
241 West Granville Road, Tolland, MA 01034 between the hours of 8:30AM – 4:00PM Monday and Tuesday and 8:30AM – 12:30PM Wednesday til Monday, March 12, 2012 at 4PM. Bids will be opened and read aloud March 12, 2012 at the Select Board meeting at 5PM. The Board of Selectmen reserves the right to waive any informality’s or to reject any or all bids if deemed to be in the town’s best interest.

Vermont Fire Technologies (VTEC) – complete bid Total delivered price $275,194.00
Greenwood EV – complete bid Total delivered price $279,660.00
The Board of Selectmen will submit the bids to the committee for their recommendation and the Board of Selectmen will award the bid on Monday, April 2nd.
Board of Selectmen nominated Joann Duval as Animal Inspector.
Received a list of office space needs from the Town Clerk, the list was requested by the Board of Selectmen.
The Planning Board submitted a request from SBA Communications for the removal of a Performance Bond. The request is the responsibility of the Building Inspector and the paperwork will be given to him for his review.
